I’d like to take you back a few steps—actually, a few leaps—before A Step Ahead came to life.

My journey began in 2009 when I left high school and entered the building industry as an aluminium joinery apprentice, manufacturing and installing aluminium windows and doors. After gaining my qualifications and valuable hands-on experience, I chose to continue growing my passion by expanding into other areas of the building trade.

Over the past 17 years, I’ve worked across multiple trades, learning from experienced professionals and developing a broad, practical skill set along the way. Today, as a qualified and licensed builder, I don’t just manage projects as a contractor—I’m also the subcontractor being hands on for a majority of the project making it a in-house service.

What sets me apart isn’t just the range of skills I bring, but the mindset behind them. I take pride in being involved in every stage of a project—from the first conversation through to the final detail. Whether it’s a small job or a full renovation, I approach every project with care, precision, and a commitment to quality.
